ყველასთვის ცნობილია, რომ ყარაბაღი კავკასიაში განთქმულია თავის მუსიკალური სკოლით. აქაური კომპოზიტორები და შემსრულებლები მსოფლიოს მრავალ სცენაზე უნახავთ. აღდამის მუსიკალური კოლეჯის როლი ყარაბაღის მუსიკალური სკოლის განვითარებაში კი ძალიან დიდია. აღდამის კოლეჯი ამ ქალაქში 1958-1993 წლებში მუნქციონირებდა, თუმცა, ოკუპაციასთან ერთად ამ სასწავლებელსაც დევნილობაში მოუწია ცხოვრება.

Aghdam Music College is one of the most historical music schools of Karabakh. The college is the first music oriented college founded in Karabakh.
It is known to everyone that Karabakh is known as the music preserve of the Caucasus. Great composers and performers have constantly performed on world stages from here. It is no coincidence that the Aghdam Music College played a special role in the history of Karabakh Music School. Aghdam Music College operated in Aghdam city between 1958 and 1993, but with the occupation of Aghdam city, the 30-year displaced activity of the college began.
Between 1993 and 2006, it operates in the city of Barda, Azerbaijan, and since 2006, it has been operating in the Guzanli settlement, which is currently temporarily built for IDPs. “Shur” ensemble, one of the famous musical ensembles of the Caucasus, was founded and operated under this college. Young people with special talents always get the opportunity to perform on the world stage in this college.
Aghdam Music College operates as a Secondary Music School between 1958-2000, a Music Technical School between 2000-2010 and a Music College in 2010.
Docent Rafail Musayev, the current head of the college and also a graduate of the college, is one of the personalities who played a special role in researching and promoting the art of the Karabakh Singing. Although Aghdam Music College is currently on the list of schools that share the same fate as a music school operating as a Forced IDP, after the liberation of Aghdam city from occupation, they are already preparing to return to their homes.
